Scotland has now returned to a system of local levels of coronavirus restrictions.
A list of the restrictions each local authority area is subject to can be on the Scottish Government website. Currently from 26 April, all of Scotland is in level 3.
All usual landlord/letting agent activities can take place in areas subject to level 3 restrictions or lower, including property inspections, viewings, move ins, move outs and safety checks. Property visits to occupied properties can take place provided that the occupants of the house and those visiting the property are well and are not showing coronavirus symptoms and there is no one in the household who is self-isolating. Anyone entering a tenantโs home must observe social distancing, use appropriate and proportionate protective equipment, and follow the guidance on sanitation.
If any areas return to level 4 restrictions then in these areas non urgent maintenance work and routine property inspections should be postponed until the area is removed from level 4 restrictions and viewings and home moves should be delayed where possible. Safety checks should continue to obtain safety certificates.
The Scottish Governmentโs guidance for landlords and letting agents and guidance on moving home can be found on the Scottish Government website.
